Day 4 in the Hospital: 4 Days to Transplant

My dance partner showed up with more bags today and is becoming awkward, especially in the shower.  The chemotherapy bags are intended to rid my bone marrow of cancer and the immunotherapy bags deplete my T-cells to prevent them from rejecting the donor stem cells.  Aside from some some chills and fever on the first day, I’ve felt few side effects so far.
I’m still clinging to the flickering hope that the Mets will make the playoffs.  I watched the game today with my brother-in-law Kurt.  The Mets won but so did his Brewers.  It is looking like there is no way the Mets can catch the Brewers at this point.  Next year!
