Day Zero

Steve received the magical donor stem cells Thursday afternoon. The doctor remarked about how such donations are a true act of altruism. We are deeply grateful. The nurses were amazing and, because many stem cell transplant recipients celebrate Day Zero as their new birthday, gathered to sing happy birthday.

Steve reminds us he expects presents twice a year now!
